Well, its back to San Francisco and still discovering dust in curious places, before I head back to Sydney.
A quieter Burning Man for me this year musically, with just 2 gigs played: Our camp’s big party – the ABCD Party and my (now a regular for me) Solo Playa Play.
Here’s a little clip from the ABCD party, playing a track that means a lot to me as it was inspired by my time playing with Sabenza in South Africa in the late 80’s – it’s called Cape Times and a studio recording will be coming out on my (soon to be released) album:
My solo Playa Play set was equally good fun. Full video recordings of that andf the audio from my ABCD set are coming and I’ll send out a more detailed account of the Burn gigs separately once the dust has settled. I just wanted to get this out and to say that I’m already planning some mega music missions for the 2025 Burn….things are about to get serious.
