Yeah – I finally got to play live again in October with a little fundraiser that we put on at the Burdekin – The Night of the Gecko. Thanks to all those that came along, it always means a lot to have a crew of familiar faces (and a few new ones) in the crowd. And thanks to Chris Kreis who once again got some great photos and videos of me in action.
This was only my 2nd outing playing live (not counting the Burning Man gigs), and, as always, it was great to be out there putting the live chops through their paces.
I just noticed that I didn’t get any Monthly Notes out for September… probably because I was too busy prepping for the live gig and also STILL working on getting my album done….yeah, I know it was meant to be done ages ago, but it was not quite in the right state for the mix/master engineer that I thought (and he tactfully pointed out to me….Uuuuuughh!). So it was back to tweaking a few odds and ends and getting it ready. I’m not even going to predict a finish date now!
The end of the year is fast approaching and I should (just) get my Release A Week quota of 50 tracks for the year completed. This last weeks release is a chilled Jazzy House number called Sweet Thing, and I got back into doing some live streams as part off the production process. Here’s the live video as I work out some live piano lines (note I already have my Christmas Tee on in readiness…):

Ok – that’s all for the October report in…back to the music making.
