So, we just finished the 1st full month in Madrid and it was MAD!
I got to perform at 2 MAD(rid) Burner events which was a lot of fun. It has been really amazing connecting with this awesome group of like-minded people in a new city! A weekend Decom, where I was joined at one point on stage by a ghostly hand determined to get involved on the controllers!!
And then I also got involved in the MAD Halloween Cabaret, where there were some remarkable acts, from this super creative group.
So, it has been great to get to play in a new city, my first time in Spain and only my second in Europe (after my Sicilian European debut a few years back).
And then October also saw me doing a rerun of my #20 Tracks In 20 Days challenge. This is where every (week) day I take a very basic track idea (from one of my Splurges from some time in the last 6-12 months), do a little bit of creative exploration (chose some live jam sounds, add some percussion parts to jam etc), and then do a live stream in the afternoon (to FB, YT, Twitch), where I improvise the final stages of the production – LIVE!
Do that’s been done and I now have 20 tracks, which can be either released asis in the Live Production Jam, be slightly reworked for a hybrid live/studio release or just be logged as “ideas for later”. Check out all 20 streams on YouTube:
November is going to be spent consolidating all this new material I have, getting some released as part of my R.A.W. series, and also going back over 2025 and 2026 R.A.W. tracks to select which need to make it into my live set….and doing a few live streams of that new live material.
