Normally when I hit the year’s half way mark, I get a bit despondent on my progress towards the goals for the year. Well this year I have a massive win to celebrate. I took out the top Remix for Klartraum’s recent remix comp for their classic track – Pain Relief.

Klartraum are a production and live performance duo from Berlin, who have long been a massive influence on my music production and also, probably more significantly, a HUGE influence on my LIVE PERFORMANCE. Helmut Ebritsch is also a keyboard player and serious fan of the Rhodes Electric Piano, which features in almost all my tracks, and Nadja Lind just sets up the deepest grooves to underpin the dub techno that they are known for. All my dubbier tracks have Klartraum as the main influence.

So it was an awesome feeling to hear they had selected my remix as the best of the comp!!!

Back in June 2014, I got an honourable mention from Klartraum for my remix of their track Sweetness – so that’s a sign I’m moving in the right direction (bloody right ~12 years later!). Check it out on Soundcloud here:

So with all that good news for the mid-year milestone, I think I’ll just get back to working on some more music, plenty on it’s way, the music production machine is WORKING!
